What I do…

Eating Disorder Recovery

Struggling with an eating disorder such as anorexia, bulimia or binge eating disorder?

Eating disorders encourage chaotic and rigid patterns around food which we will unpack to help nourish your body and heal your relationship with food.

Intuitive Eating

Reconnect with your body, learn to not fear food. Break through ideas that diet culture has established in your mind. Understand that there are no good or bad foods. Work towards making peace with food while listening to key signals your body has been sending you.

Chronic Medical Conditions

Though I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and intuitive eating I am also more than able to help navigate the twists and turns that develop when living with other various medical conditions – including but not limited to:

Type I & II Diabetes
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) – In children and adults.

General Nutrition Guidance

Looking for general nutrition guidance or feel your need isn’t listed above? Reach out and we can establish if I can provide the services your looking for or if I can refer you to another specialty dietitian that may be able to better assist you.

How it’s done…

Initial Consultation

The first session will last 75 – 90 minutes long. This will give me an opportunity to learn about your health history, explore your relationship with food, stress, sleep patterns, activity/movement and so much more.

Throughout our time together, we will work together to come up with an individualized plan to support your journey towards discovering food freedom and improve your well-being.

Working Together

Services are offered as a package bundle. I like to work with individuals and build a relationship so you are supported and and have guidance to help make the changes you are desiring.

Session packages are designed so we can get to know each other and are where the magic happens. It takes time to establish new habits and develop a supportive relationship. Follow-up sessions typically last 1 hour but are tailored based on your needs.

Support Between Sessions

You will have access to a secure online portal where you can message me between sessions and a phone app you can download. The portal also provides a food & mood journal where you can document your food, emotions, and physical sensations.

Fees & Insurance

I accept credit cards, cash, FSA or HSA cards. Nutrition counseling services are considered reimbursable expenses under Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account. I also offer payment plans and sliding scale or reduced fee if individuals meet certain criteria though these slots have limited availability.

I am out of network with insurance but our sessions may be covered if you have out-of-network benefits. I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. I will provide you with an insurance script to walk you through what to ask your insurance provider. Coverage depends on your plan and diagnosis. A diagnosis from your medical provider is required in order to use insurance benefits and a referral is required.
