Fees and FAQ’s

Who do you work with?
I provide treatment and care for children, adolescents, and adults of all genders. I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, intuitive eating, PCOS, enteral (tube) feedings.

What do sessions look like?

Initial Assessment: Our first session together will be 75-90 minutes. I will be asking lots of questions as part of the process of learning about you and we will review your major concerns, identify strengths, and challenges and we may set a goal or two. I will be guiding you every step of the way providing resources and tools that will help you during your journey.

Follow-up sessions: Follow-up sessions will be 60 minutes long. Over the course of time, we will review your goals/challenges/etc. but what we discuss in a session is entirely up to you. Sometimes, you may want to talk about what’s bothering you, meal ideas, I also provide meal challenges and meal support sessions. Follow-up sessions may be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or whichever is most supportive towards your goals.

Support between sessions: You will have access to a secure online portal where you can message me between sessions and a phone app you can download. The portal also provides a food & mood journal where you can document your food, emotions, and physical sensations.

What if I want to lose weight, will you work with me?

I do NOT offer weight – loss services or guidance. I look at health through a wider lens and when weight loss is recommended to address a medical condition, numbers become the focus and a person’s health “picture” is disregarded. We will dig deeper and assess your sleep, energy levels, and movement taking into consideration physical, emotional, and mental health. I do take in account bloodwork, blood sugars, blind weights (if needing weight restoration) but do not focus on weight loss or counting macros/calories, etc.

Weight is an outcome and not a behavior. I understand the desire to want to lose weight as we live in a world obsessed with a thin ideal. That said, we can help you work towards other goals such as wanting to lower your blood sugars or feel more comfortable in your body without going on another diet.

What is Intuitive Eating (IE)?

Intuitive eating involves paying attention and honoring our body’s natural cues (hunger, fullness, and thirst) rather than following strict diets or external rules. It is a framework that consists of 10 intuitive eating principles. We will work side by side using IE principles workbook as a resource to help you become more in tune with your body cues.

Packages

Session packages are designed so we can get to know each other and are where the magic happens. It takes time to establish new habits and develop a supportive relationship. Working long-term allow us to build a relationship so you are supported and and gives you the guidance to help make the changes you are desiring.

Do you accept insurance?

I am out of network with insurance but can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. You will need to call your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network benefits. Coverage depends on your plan and diagnosis. I have an insurance script that I can provide that will walk you through what to ask your insurance provider. I do offer packages for a bundle deal and accept HSA/FSA cards.

I’m a out of network provider and do not bill insurance at this time.
